  First layout for the laser cutter - 3 sheets of 12x24 plexiglass (to expensive!)
  
  
  Second layout - 2mm between cuts and off the edge of plexiglass (Remember to measure plexiglass sheet for the true size)

Learning moments;

1. Spacing cuts
1. do not overlap cut lines - laser cutters cuts are 1/4mm thick
2. measure sheet for accurate dimension 
3. cutouts will not fit back - eg circle cut from square. 1/4 missing, glue will like not hold. Recut circle and account for loss of cutline. *laser cut at an angle not true 90. 
2. Thickness of material - design could benefit from .6mm over the.3mm used,
3. Editing the CAD's slices for 25 pieces to reflect the 25th anniversary of Janet's Crown (the onsite sculpture this work is based off)
4. pulling protective cover off the plexiglass is tedious
